Project Overview

  • In this final project, you will research a local, real-world ecological issue and present your findings in a poster or slideshow.
  • You may work alone or with one partner.
  • Your goal is to educate your audience on the problem, why it matters, and possible solutions.

Project Goals

  • Analyze human impacts on ecosystems.
  • Communicate scientific information clearly.
  • Develop research skills using reliable sources.
  • Practice visual presentation and public speaking skills.

Requirements

  • Final Product: Poster or Slideshow (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.)
  • Sources: Minimum of 3 reliable sources (scientific articles, government websites, conservation organizations, news articles)
  • Visuals: At least 3 relevant images, maps, or diagrams (with source credits)
  • Presentation: 3-5 minutes presenting to the class
  • Original Work: Summarize ideas in your own words, cite your sources.
