Visiting the Library

The library is open from 8:10 to 3:00. Students are welcome before or after school.

Students may visit the library through-out the day with the permission of their teacher.

During WINN, students may come to the library to get a book with the permission of their Connections teacher. For the 2022-2023 school year, students will once again be able to work in the library during WINN.

Circulation

  • Students can check out five books at a time.
  • Items are checked out for two weeks.
  • Items can be renewed for an additional two weeks provided that there are no holds on the item.

Who's Who in the Library

Ms. Blakemore, Librarian

Ms. Blakemore has over 15 years experience as a school librarian, including at Dyer and Kaler Elementary Schools here in South Portland. She earned her Master's in Library Science from Simmons University, where she has done additional graduate level work.

When she's not in the library, you can find Ms. Blakemore outside swimming, hiking, or skiing. She also enjoys reading and writing.

Ms. Blakemore has two kids, two cats, a leopard gecko, and a spouse. They all live together in Kennebunk.
