The Learning Commons undertook a major weeding (deselection) and genrification project this year. Fiction books are now grouped by like genres, allowing students to more effectively find books that interest them. The non-fiction collection has been gone over with a fine-toothed comb and broken out into easily identifiable sections such as Shakespeare, various wars (American Revolution, Civil War, WWI, etc), teen issues (mental health, health, and memoirs), and art.

Students engaged their brains in new ways, unwinding with friends and playing strategy-based games such as RISK and Settlers of Catan. They also expressed their creative sides, utilizing the weekly free draw table.
